The Subtle Bloom Collection (2025)

The Subtle Bloom Collection (2025) is rooted in the belief that true luxury is presence, and serenity. Every piece is thoughtfully handcrafted as an invitation to slow down, soften inward, and reconnect with self, with place, and with the universal language of love.

Born in Jamaica, culturally we are taught at a very young age that moving to a “first-world” country would bring happiness and fulfillment. While Canada offered opportunity and growth, it also revealed a deep sense of disconnection, being connected, yet disconnected, from my roots, my culture, and the lived realities of what it means to be Jamaican. The contrast between Jamaican and first-world realities became a quiet tension within me.

The Subtle Bloom Collection became a bridge between these worlds. Through colour, texture, and design, the pieces tell intertwined stories of Jamaica and Canada, honouring both places, acknowledging their differences, and celebrating how they coexist within me. The palette and forms reflect memory, migration, gratitude, and reconciliation.

More than a collection, Subtle Bloom marked a turning point. It initiated a reconnection with my Jamaican roots and ultimately led to my return home. The impact of this body of work was so profound that it reshaped not only my creative direction, but my life path itself.

This collection stands as a manifestation of inner growth, cultural remembrance, and the belief that luxury is not excess, but alignment, peace, and love.
